Carol J. Christensen, 93, Two Harbors, died Monday, December 2, 2024 at Solvay Hospice in Duluth. was born November 24, 1931 to Arnold and Edith (Juth) Turnquist in Two Harbors, where she was a resident. She married Jim Christensen on January 13, 1951, and was a homemaker for several years while her daughters were young. Later she was employed as a life-long secretary at various Two Harbors businesses, retiring from Wells Fargo after 20 years of service in 1986.
Carol was a member of the United Church of Two Harbors, a coffee club with her Two Harbors High School classmates and a weekly coffee club with the “bank girls”.
With Jim she enjoyed entertaining family and friends at their Kane Lake cabin for many years, and after retiring, twelve years of winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James; and a sister, Marian Ferguson.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorry (Ken) Larson, Wendy (Jerry) Gustin and Leigh (Arlen) Burt; grandchildren, Chad, Cal, Jeff, Suzanne, Lori, Steve, Jaymie, Brianne, and Jonas; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Lynn (Gaylord) Korhonen; and several nieces and nephews.
