April 16, 1974 – November 6, 2025
Bryan Dean Croft, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on November 6, 2025. He was born on April 16, 1974, in Hibbing, MN. At just under two months old, Bryan was welcomed into the loving arms of Dean and Pamela Croft, who were blessed with the opportunity to adopt him as their son.
Bryan grew up in Two Harbors, MN, and graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1993. In high school, he was an active member of the Drama Club and spent many hours working with the auditorium stage crews and control room. After graduation, he spent the summer working at Hardee’s Restaurant in Two Harbors before enrolling in Lake Superior College (LSC) in Duluth, MN, where he earned a degree in Small Computer Systems.
After completing his studies at LSC, Bryan began what would become a dedicated 30-plus-year career with Decision One Corporation in Bloomington, MN (now Pomeroy Technologies, LLC). As a Network Administrator, he was on call 24/7/365, yet he genuinely loved his work. His cell phone or laptop was always close at hand so he could support his clients. On one memorable occasion, while ice fishing with his father, he received a call from a client in southern California. Not only did he resolve the technical issue, but he later shared that the most challenging part of the call was explaining the concept of ice fishing to someone unfamiliar with Minnesota winters.
Bryan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed skiing, golfing, fishing, hiking, camping, and backpacking. He and his father tent-camped in the spring and hammock-camped in the fall. Bryan loved all types of fishing and had a particular passion for fly-fishing. He was an active member of his local fly-fishing club, was past president and current vice-president, participated in many guided fly-fishing trips with his father, and spent many seasons ice fishing on Buffalo Lake and other area lakes. One of his most cherished experiences was a once-in-a-lifetime fly-fishing trip to Montana and Idaho, shared with his father and his brother, Paul.
Bryan is preceded in death by his mother, Pamela. He is survived by his father, Dean; his siblings, Paul Croft and Rebecca (Adam) McGrane; his nephews and nieces, Brittan, Malia, Savanna, and Quinn; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Officiating will be Pastor Joel McQueen and Pastor Dean Brown.
Luncheon to follow the service at church. Interment will be at the Swedish Mission Cemetery in Buffalo, MN.
Arrangements were entrusted to The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, MN.
