August 12, 1978 – October 17, 2025
Benjamin M. Lundgren, 47, formerly of Two Harbors, MN, passed away in Safety Harbor, FL, on October 17, 2025, of natural causes.
Ben was born on August 12, 1978, in Two Harbors, MN, to James and Cindy Lundgren and graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1997. In 1998, he was invited to visit some of his close friends that moved to FL and ended up making his home there. He loved the FL sunshine and warm weather.
Ben worked in various jobs when he first moved to Florida and then received his license as a certified general contractor and was President of Elite Construction Group, Inc., where he performed residential construction and remodeling.
During Ben’s early years, he spent a lot of time at their cabin in Isabella, MN, where he enjoyed fishing for walleyes, hunting for grouse, and 4-wheeling with his numerous cousins and friends. A hot sauna and a jump in the lake were always a perfect way to end the day. He always said it was a great place to grow up.
Everyone who knew Ben said he was an excellent cook and prepared delicious meals, whether they consisted of steaks, shrimp, stone crabs, oysters, or sushi. He also loved to bake and make desserts and would often ask for Grandma Ailie’s old recipes.
His greatest joy was when his sons Grayson and Hudson were born, and being a father to his boys, which he dearly loved.
Ben was preceded in death by his son, Hudson Lundgren of Safety Harbor, FL; along with an uncle, Roger Davidson of Two Harbors, MN; his aunt, Betty Lundgren of Two Harbors, MN; and cousins, Tammy Lundgren of Fairbanks, AK, and Darren Davidson of Two Harbors, MN.
He is survived by his son, Grayson Lundgren of Clearwater, FL; his parents, James and Cindy Lundgren of Two Harbors, MN; his aunts, Marcia (Richard) Wennen of Cottage Grove, MN and Joyce (Ferris) Maki of Brimson, MN; and uncle, John Lundgren of Two Harbors, MN; along with numerous cousins and close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post #109, 614 First Avenue, Two Harbors, MN.
