V-25-008– Motion by Wattunen supported by Hoops to approve the request with conditions for relief from the shoreline setback for an existing dwelling. Motion by Hippert supported by Wattunen to approve the request with conditions for relief from the inside living space requirement for an addition to an existing guest quarter. Motion by Hoops supported by Hippert to deny the request for relief from the shoreline setback to add to an existing guest quarter (Land Use Ordinance #12, Article 7.0, Section 7.03A, 7.06B, & 7.06D) filed by Samuel Heiks & Rachel Stutzman. The property in question is located at 672 Point Drive, Ely, MN 55731 and is legally described as: Lot 14 in Section 28, Township 63, Range 11 3.65 acres, zones shoreland (Farm Lake), R-R/ Residential Recreation District, 1 acre minimum, Fall Lake Township. PID 28-6376-28140. Motion carried, Hoops, Hippert, and Wattunen voted in favor; none opposed.
Motion by Hippert supported by Hoops to approve the May 12, 2025 minutes as submitted. Motion carried, Hoops, Fogelberg, and Hippert voted in favor; none opposed.
