Silver Bay Public Library and Tettegouche State Park collaborate to bring an “Evening Showcase of Art in Silver Bay” featuring two of the North Shore’s beloved local artists in two exhibition receptions on one night.
(Silver Bay, MN) October 20, 2025 —Silver Bay Public Library and Tettegouche State Park announce an evening showcase of art, celebrating with receptions for two of the North Shore’s beloved local artists at their venues on Fri day, November 7, 2025. Each lo cation curates rotating art exhibitions, with receptions coinciding on the same day for the first time this month. The exhibiting sites are a five minute drive apart, allowing for visitors a mini progressive art crawl, of sorts.
“Paintings by Wayne Pruse” will be on exhibition November 5 – December 31, 2025 at the Silver Bay Public Library. Prolific master air brush and acrylic painter Wayne Pruse creates photorealistic paintings on the themes of nature, fantasy, and beauty. A native of Silver Bay, MN, Wayne’s art career was in Bismarck, ND, until he retired to Silver Bay in 2021. More of his works are available at: www.FineArtAmerica.com.
“Watercolor Landscapes of the North Shore” is on exhibition for the month of November 2025 at Tettegouche Visitor Center. Artist Sandy Maxwell is a recent recipient of an Individual Artist Project Grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, thanks to appropriations from Minnesota State Legislature’s General Fund, made possible by the voters in Minnesota. She lives on the North Shore and has been painting for about fifteen years.

. 5:30 – 7 p.m. “Paintings by Wayne Pruse” Reception at Silver Bay Library, with refresh ments donated by Timber Coffee Company.
. 7 – 8:30 p.m. “Watercolor Landscapes of the North Shore” Reception at Tettegouche Visitor Center, hosted by the Friends of Tettegouche.
Both exhibitions are free and open to the public. All exhibiting art work is family-friendly imagery.
