THE BELLAMY BROTHERS
The Bellamy Brothers officially hit the charts in 1976 when their single, “Let Your Love Flow,” became an instant smash in both the U.S. and Europe. It stayed on the international charts long enough to build a vast international fan base for the hip young brothers that endures to this day. That love continued flowing as The Bellamys rocked audiences at their sold-out concerts, sharing stages with Loggins & Messina, the Doobie Brothers, and the Beach Boys with their patented rock/country music blend.
By the late ‘70s, The Bellamys climbed up the country charts with another smash single, “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” originally scrawled on a dinner napkin by David. The song launched them to the top of the country charts, as “Let Your Love Flow” had done in the pop market just a few years earlier. It proved to be the first of a string of fourteen No. 1 singles in the U.S. alone.
RICKY CARL: TEXAS-STYLE FROM THE NORTH Ricky Carl delivers a country sound with plenty of influence. Taking inspiration from traditional country artists and contemporary rock groups, Ricky Carl’s music reflects an appreciation for the classics with a modern sound. Ricky has generated a following by playing in bars around the Northland. He has had the opportunity to open for the legendary Bellamy Brothers and announced his spot in the lineup in 2025’s Concert In The Corn. He was named the Duluth News Tribune’s 2nd place “Local Band” of the year in 2023 and 2nd place “Best Artist” in 2024. Ricky Carl now has aspirations to write and record a full album with the hope of making it out to Nashville, TN. His debut EP, released in 2024, reveals the rock influence in “Where The Good Times Are” with heavy-driven guitars and over-the-top drums. His country-rooted influence is showcased prominently in the calm “Take It From There” and the lively “So Long (Have A Good Summer).
RAFE CARLSON Fast-rising Country artist Rafe Carlson (pronounced RAYF) was only 22 years old when he left his job selling RVs in his hometown of Duluth, Minnesota and bought a one-way ticket to Nashville to bring his unique Northwoods edge to songwriting rooms up and down Music Row. Since then, the Midwest native has garnered over 65,000,000 views on social media, worked with Grammy-winning producers and prolific hit songwriters in Nashville, and landed endorsements with brands like Fender. Rafe has joined superstar acts on stage, like Jon Pardi, Jake Owen, Trace Adkins, Chris Janson, and dozens more, while maintaining his unapologetic Skynyrdesque attitude and gritty Southern Rock-influenced sound. His most recent release out of Nashville, ‘Big City Lights,’ has seen radio play across the Upper Midwest on Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa country stations. Rafe’s bloodline consists of carpenters, loggers, Vikings, home-builders, and WW2 soldiers. Joined by his cousins Steve and Dave Carlson on guitars, they continue to carry on their family legacy and the American Spirit.
