Grand Marais, MN — The Grand Marais Public Library invites kids and teens ages 0–18 to “LEVEL UP AT YOUR LIBRARY” this summer with its 2025 Summer Reading Program, running June 9 through August 16. As part of the fun, the library will host the Brodini Comedy Magic Show on Tuesday, June 17 at 3:30 PM—a high-energy, family-friendly performance that’s free and open to all, whether or not you’re participating in the reading program.
This year’s Summer Reading theme encourages young readers to explore, grow, and challenge themselves while having fun. Participants can choose from several flexible ways to track their reading and learning activities, and earn exciting rewards like free books and treat coupons. There is no registration process. Materials and instructions will be available throughout the summer at the library, and families can start at any time that works for them.
In addition to reading logs, the library is hosting three special events with kids and families in mind:
- Brodini Comedy Magic Show – Tuesday, June 17 at 3:30 PM
- Haiku with Sandra Hisakuni – Saturday, July 19 at 10:30 AM
- Dinosaurs with the MN Science Museum – Tuesday, July 22 at 1:00 PM
To cap off the summer, the library is hosting the Summer Reading Celebration Picnic on Saturday, August 16 (time to be announced). Visitors of all ages are welcome to enjoy live music from Will Sings Songs, delicious food, and bubbles for everyone.
