Lake County Historical Society Progresses with Work on Keeper’s Quarters—Community Support Still Needed

Submitted by Ellen Lynch

Executive Director, Lake County Historical Society

The Lake County Historical Society is pleased to announce progress is being made at the Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast. Registers are being installed this week as we continue to raise funds to help cover an estimated $40,000 to enable the Society to reopen the 3M Birthplace Museum and Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast in advance of the busy summer season. We appealed to our community and we have raised 11% of our goal of $40,000.

Every dollar raised goes to support building repairs to our historic sites, icons in the community for over a Century. By becoming a member of the Society, visiting the museum, or donating any amount to our Winter 2025 Campaign you are supporting our 100 year old mission to “Collect, preserve, & share the rich history of our region.”
