TWO HARBORS, Minn. – Two Harbors Federal Credit Union (THFCU) recently announced the promotion of Erin Mecklin to Vice President, Operations. Mecklin has been on the THFCU staff since 2011, most recently serving as Director of Member Engagement, a role she has held for over six years.
“We’re excited to formally welcome Erin to our executive team,” said THFCU President/CEO Randy Willert, “She has been a significant contributor to our strategic process for many years now and this recognition is a long time coming.”
Mecklin replaces Jerry Hostetter, who retired from the role earlier this year. As Vice-President, Operations, she will be responsible for deposit services, member engagement, member education, and digital services.
Per Willert, all are roles that fit her experience and skill set: “Erin has been the driver behind several of our more popular initiatives, including Member Appreciation, Community Involvement, and Youth Financial Education. She embraces any opportunity to help our members achieve their financial goals.”
Mecklin has a Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Wisconsin – Superior. She has continued on an educational path since working for THFCU, participating in multiple training programs at the state and national levels. She is currently enrolled in the Minnesota Credit Union Network’s Trailblazers Executive Readiness Program and Women’s Leadership Network. She was active in the Emerging Leaders Training Program for the Credit Union National Association, and has received her Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist Certification.
She is active in the community with Winter Frolic, Boy Scouts, Two Harbors Curling Club, PTA, 4-H, and countless other parent volunteer opportunities.
“Simply put, Erin lives the THFCU mission,” said Willert, “She is right at home in a financial institution that puts people first.”
