Notice is hereby given that the Lake County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on behalf of, and authorized by, the Lake County Board of Commissioners on October 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Law Enforcement Center, 613 Third Avenue, Two Harbors, MN 55616, at which time interested parties shall have the opportunity to discuss the granting of the following request:
In accordance with Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, an application for a Conditional Use has been filed by Lost Key Sled Dogs, which, if approved, would allow for a change to a CUP (C-25-006) to add commercial dog sled tours and accompanying increased use to existing kennel operations at 4135 Hwy 3, Two Harbors, MN 55616. The property is legally described as: NW 1/4 of SE 1/4 & SW 1/4 of NE 1/4 Lying S of Stony Creek in Section 23, Township 55, Range 10, 65 acres, zoned shoreland R-1/Residential (10-acre minimum) and FR/Forest Recreation (10-acre minimum) on Stony Creek, Silver Creek.
