An extended period of dry weather in the Western Lake Superior Watershed is causing a severe drought, and has prompted the MN DNR to move to the Drought Warning Response Phase as described in the Minnesota Statewide Drought Plan.
According to City Ordinance 730.09 Watering Restrictions, the Water Department will be implementing increased watering restrictions to comply with DNR water use reduction actions.
Watering lawns will be limited to odd/even days based on your house number, and limited to the hours of 7pm and 7am.
