Mountain Iron, MN, March 16, 2026 – The Arrowhead Library System is pleased to present Poetry and Printmaking with Poet and Artist Shelley Getten. These events are free and open to the public, and will travel to participating ALS libraries April 13-May 1, 2026.
Join Shelley Getten for poetry and printmaking art as she shares the challenges and joys of growing up on a Minnesota farm. As Getten reads from her book, Of Cows and Crows, she will discuss how the creative writing process can bring insight and healing. Getten will demonstrate block art printmaking so attendees can watch and learn about making original relief art. Bookmarks will be shared with audience members to take home.
This program is one hour long and is appropriate for adults, teens, and children 8 years and up.

Friday, April 17, 1:00 p.m. – Silver Bay Public Library
Friday, April 17, 6:00 p.m. – Grand Marais Public Library
Tuesday, April 28, 3:30 p.m. – Two Harbors Public Library
Friday, May 1, 3:30 p.m. – Ely Public Library
