The Two Harbors Community Radio folks are pleased to welcome Roxann Berglund as the Master of Ceremonies for Cabin Fever Reliever. Roxann is a talented vocalist, pianist, flutist, and songwriter. She is also one half of the dynamic musical duo, Rox ‘n Soul. The other half of the duo is jazz guitarist and composer Briand Morrison, who, like Roxann, also performs as a soloist. Briand and Roxann are based on Lake Superior in beautiful Grand Portage, Minnesota, and together, Rox ‘n Soul, they’ll delight the audience with their unique blend of jazz, blues, soul, and R&B.
Anticipate a fun and lively afternoon featuring the Two Harbors Ukulele Group, better known as T.H.U.G. This talented hometown group consists of up to 25 musicians performing vocals, ukuleles, and various other instruments. T.H.U.G. is currently on course to perform dozens of gigs throughout the region annually.
Sophie Hiroko was raised on the shore of Lake Superior, originally hailing from Duluth. This past summer, she was awarded the Palomino Grant- an opportunity offered annually to one Duluth-based musician by the iconic bluegrass group Trampled by Turtles. After opening their 2025 festival field show with S.G. Goodman, she released her debut EP “to the core,” and moved to Minneapolis. She took her release on tour this last October, “from the core to the coast,” with her final show in Brooklyn, NYC. This winter, she was recognized by First Avenue as one of their Best New Bands of 2025. For this solo acoustic show, Hiroko’s lyrics will become the centerpiece of her songs, the emotion of which is much harder to catch during a full band performance.
Influenced by a pastoral upbringing in northern Wisconsin, Ross Thorn’s music emanates as a warm and soulful hymn. His sharply crafted and often humorous lyrics— reminiscent of folk legends like John Prine—explore internal struggles of empathy, human character, and a search for hope. On his latest full-length album, Fitting In, Thorn utilizes traditional instrumentation to weave stories brimming with the human spirit across ten tracks. The album is rich with earworm melodies and heartfelt stories that evoke a sense of nostalgic comfort. Coincidentally, Ross was the recipient of the Palomino Grant the year prior to Sophie Hiroko’s win.
Jason Wussow and Veikko Lepisto formed the acoustic-driven, high-energy combo called Woodblind a dozen years ago. Woodblind coined the term “ska box” to describe its beatbox-meets-ska approach to music. Cabin Fever Reliever is excited to bring The Woodblind Jubilee Super Big Band as the headliner of the show! Fulljoy Acoustic Ska music featuring the highly animated Veikko Lepisto on stand-up bass with his unique 2-Tone and third-wave scat vocals, Jason Wussow on acoustic guitar & vocals, Jimi Cooper on lead guitar, Eli Bissonett on fiddle, Tyler Dubla on drums, George Ellsworth on organ & vocals, and Eric Cyr on trombone.
