Eleanor G. Bohlen, 92, of Two Harbors, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Lake View Memorial Hospital.
Eleanor was born July 28, 1930 to Edward and Gertie (Veen) Harms in Corona, South Dakota, where she grew up and attended school. On October 2, 1949 she married Arthur Bohlen and together they moved to Two Harbors in 1961 where they raised their daughters. In addition to caring for her family, Eleanor worked as a dietary aide at Lake View Memorial Hospital for 26 years, retiring in 1992. After retiring she served her community cleaning homes and grocery shopping for those needing help.
Eleanor was a member of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, she enjoyed reading, card games, keeping a clean home, and spending time with her family.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; an infant daughter, Sharon; and a brother, Erwin Harms.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Beaver) Bohlen-Graden, Cheryl Bohlen, and Karen (Mark) Tucker; grandchildren, Shannon (Tim) Rothe, and Steven (Jennifer) Tucker; and great-grandchildren, Reagan, Ella, Loretta and Ford.
Visitation will be from Noon until the 1:00 PM service on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. To share your memories or condolences online please visit www.cavallinfuneral-home.com.
