Linda F. French, 74, of Two Harbors, passed away on September 16, 2025, after a serious illness. She was born November 11, 1950, and lived much of her life in Minnesota, eventually settling along her beloved Lake Superior.
Linda was an artist and writer who shared her creativity through writing, painting, jewelry-making, papercraft, and poetry. She was a woman of faith who deeply believed in the goodness and faithfulness of God, who touched many lives with her kindness, humor, and generosity.
Linda is survived by her son, Chris (Betsy) Byler of Solon Springs, WI; her granddaughter, Amber-Skie Byler of Duluth, MN; her adopted daughter, Jade French of Two Harbors, MN; and her brother, Larry Solseth of Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Solseth, and her parents, Jim and Eileen Solseth.
Linda’s family and friends will miss and remember her unyielding faith, her warm smile, and her wry sense of humor. Memorial details will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heifer International in her memory.
