Notice is hereby given that the Lake County Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. at the Lake County Service Center, Split Rock River Room, 616 Third Avenue, Two Harbors, Minnesota, 55616.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments on a proposed use change of tax-forfeited land in Lake County, Minnesota.
The parcels of tax-forfeited land are in Lake County, Minnesota and are described as follows:
The Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of the Southeast Quarter (NE ¼ of SE ¼), Section Thirty (30), Township Fifty-seven (57), Range Seven (7) West of the 4th P.M.;
Parcel Number: 27-5707-30730,
and
The Northwest Quarter (NW ¼) of the Southeast Quarter (NW ¼ of SE ¼), Section Thirty (30), Township Fifty-seven (57), Range Seven (7) West of the 4th P.M.;
Parcel Number: 27-5707-30790,
hereinafter referred to as Parcels.
The current use of the Parcels is as a source of supply of gravel for construction and maintenance of county roads and highways.
The proposed use for the Parcels is to be transferred to the Lake County Housing and Redevelopment Authority to lead to the development of affordable housing.
