ATV Minnesota is the non-profit, State Association representing 70 ATV clubs across the state. This year, its annual State Convention, called Ride & Rally, is in Silver Bay. ATV enthusiasts will gather for the fun 3-day event, riding the scenic ATV trails on the North Shore.
The 2025 Ride & Rally, September 26 to 28, 2025, is co-hosted by three North Shore ATV Clubs: the Finland Snowmobile and ATV Club, the Silver Trail Riders Snowmobile & ATV Club, and the Wild Country ATV Club. ATV enthusiasts and their families from all over the state are now registering for the convention, which offers guided ATV rides, lunch on the trail, silent and live auctions, and a dinner banquet.

Ride & Rally Schedule
On Friday, September 26th, the event kicks off with the President’s Ride. Riders on Class 1 and Class 2 (side-by-side) ATVs will leave from the Rukavina Arena, traveling through Silver Bay and on to the trail systems of the three local ATV clubs. The ride destination will be the Finland Community Center, where there will be lunch and presentations, before returning to Silver Bay.
On Saturday, September 27th, registered riders can choose from three guided rides, which start in Two Harbors, Silver Bay, and Finland, or they can choose the ride-on-your-own option. There will be plenty of opportunities for socializing and networking between ATV clubs, including during the banquet on Saturday evening at the Rukavina Arena.
On Sunday morning, September 28th, the ATV MN executive board and ATV club presidents or representatives — making up the statewide board — meet to review the event, and discuss the group’s many projects and programs across Minnesota.
ATV Clubs Make A Positive Impact Statewide
The 2025 ATV MN Ride & Rally coming to the North Shore is more than a gathering of ATV enthusiasts enjoying well-maintained trails and scenic overlooks. It’s a testament to the significant investments made by 70 ATV clubs, working with county land managers and the Minnesota DNR, on ATV trail development across the state. Each year, ATV clubs also hold over 80 ATV Youth Safety Classes, certifying thousands of young riders to legally ride on the State ATV Trails. Many also have DNR-certified Trail Ambassadors who ride the trails on their weekends, visiting with riders, passing out maps and DNR regulation books, and keeping trails safe for the riding public.
The three Ride & Rally host clubs are part of a broader effort to promote outdoor recreation in Northern Minnesota. Specifically, they are part of the Northeastern Regional ATV Joint Powers Board that includes representatives from St. Louis, Koochiching and Lake Counties, as well as clubs in those counties. The Joint Powers Board was created with the goal of developing both short- and long-term plans for outdoor recreation in the region. This includes identifying new trail systems, and improving existing trails. Their efforts ensure that when trail projects are funded, they will be completed on time and in an environmentally sustainable manner.
These trail development efforts underscore the dedication of the ATV clubs to their sport, and emphasize the positive economic impact of outdoor recreation on local communities. The popularity of the North Shore and Iron Range trails among ATV-riding families, coupled with the continued investments in trail infrastructure, ensures Minnesota’s position as a premier, nationally recognized ATV destination. Through collaboration and dedication, the clubs are leaving an indelible mark on the area’s trail system, benefiting riders, businesses, and the broader community for years to come.
This year’s ATV MN convention is all about showcasing the ATV trails on the North Shore, and the responsible and respectful nature of ATV enthusiasts, emphasizing the importance of providing safety training programs for all riders, adhering to rules, and respecting the environment.
