The Arrowhead Eagles Aviation Organization announced the winners of their 2025 aviation scholarships at its Annual Meeting on May 3, 2025.
Jordan Ekroot and Jack Haussner, the two award winners, each received $2,500 scholarships to help further their aviation careers. Both are working towards commercial pilot certification and hope to work as professional pilots. This is the 5th year that the Arrowhead Eagles have awarded aviation scholarships.
Those interested in applying for a scholarship must be interested in pursuing a pilot rating or career in any aspect of aviation. Applications are available for the 2026 scholarships at the Cook County/Grand Marais Airport.
The Arrowhead Eagles Aviation Organization is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is dedicated to the following key goals:
- Promote flight training for youth and adults
- Promote career options available in the aviation industry
- Seek charitable gift support for aviation related scholarships
- Promote activities with pilots and aviation organizations in the region
- Promote fly-in events to build visitor and lodging support
- Promote aviation history in Cook County
