BETTY LILLBACK (May 20, 1938 – January 10, 2025)

Betty Lillback, 86, of Finland, died Friday, January 10, 2025 at Lake View Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Fort Frances, Ontario to Gus and Isabel (Leeson) Lindholm on May 20, 1938. In 1954, the family moved to Evergreen Lodge near Beaver Bay and Betty graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1955. In 1956, she and Donald Lillback were married and settled in Finland, where they raised their family.

Betty loved camping, playing cards and games with her family, Canasta with the “card ladies”, knitting (her slippers warmed feet in the US, Canada, Iraq, and Bahrain), trips to the casino, and time with her grand-children and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Donald; sons, Douglas and David; and in-laws, Anselm and Agnes Lillback.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Terri Lillback and Kim (Bob) Adams; daughter-in-law, Lori Lillback; brothers, Terry and Larry (Carlene) Lindholm; sister-in-law, Donna (Jim) Branca; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a grand-doggie, Lilly.

Per Betty’s request, there will be no ser-vice. However, a celebration of her life will be held in June with a private burial at Crystal Bay Cemetery. To share a memory or leave an online condolence visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
