LAKE COUNTY, Minn. (10/24/2024)—The University of Minnesota Extension Committee in Lake County has openings for members to serve a three-year term effective January 2025 through December 2027.
The Extension Committee serves in an advisory role for programming by identifying local issues to guide the direction of Extension’s educational programs and services. Members of the County Extension Committee serve as advocates for Extension’s mission: Making a difference by connecting community needs and University resources to address critical issues in Minnesota.
The Extension Committee meets four times per year from February to November and committee members can attend meetings either in person at the Health and Human Services building in Two Harbors or virtually over Zoom. The committee membership includes two county commissioners, the county auditor or designee and six county citizens appointed by the Lake County Board of Commissioners. Committee members are eligible for mileage reimbursement and meeting stipend.
The Lake County Extension Committee is a partnership between the University of Minnesota Extension and Lake County.
