Notice is hereby given that the Lake County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on behalf of, and authorized by, the Lake County Board of Commissioners on June 18, 2024 at 4:00 PM in the Fall Lake Township Hall; 393 Kawishiwi Trail, Ely, MN 55731, at which time interested parties shall have the opportunity to discuss the granting of the following request:
In accordance with Lake County Land Use Ordinance #12, an application for Conditional Use has been filed by VB BTS II, LLC Agent: Shalane Giles, which, if approved, would allow for a 450’ tall, lit, guyed communication tower in a 100’ x 100’ leased area on private property at 2958 Fernberg Road, Ely, MN 55731. The property is legally described as that part of SW 1/4 of NW 1/4 as described in doc No. 157847 in Section 9, Township 63, in Range 9, 30.10 acres, zoned non-shoreland, FR/Forest Recreation District, 10-acre minimum, Fall Lake Township.
