WTIP Announces Final Lineup for Radio Waves Music Festival September 8th to 10th

Grand Marais, Minn., August 14, 2023 –WTIP Community Radio invites the commu­nity to join us at the 2023 Radio Waves Mu­sic Festival, Sept. 8th to 10th, at Sweetheart’s Bluff in the Grand Marais Recreation Area. This marks the 25th birthday of WTIP Com­munity Radio and the 16th year of this fami­ly-friendly festival.

Twenty-two local, regional and national acts will take the stage this year, including R & B legend John Ellison and The Carpenter Ants, who will perform a 90-minute gospel set on Sunday morning of the Festival. Here is the complete schedule of performers:

A favorite of visitors and area residents as well as performing musicians, Radio Waves is held rain or shine – with two stages housed under a large tent – and includes on-site food vendors. WTIP offers pre-sale weekend pass­es online. Admission, also available at the gate, is $20 per day, or $40 for the full Fes­tival. Admission is free to children 12 and under. Campsite reservations at the Grand Marais Rec Park are recommended.

The Radio Waves Music Festival is made possible in part with funding from the Min­nesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, with additional support from Visit Cook County, the Gunflint Trail Association and the Grand Marais Area Tourism Association.
