Hauschild Highlights Commitment to Supporting Northland Veterans
[Silver Bay, MN] – Senator Grant Hauschild (DFL-Hermantown) visited the Silver Bay Veterans Home this week to meet with staff and residents and see firsthand the outstanding care and services provided to veterans in northeastern Minnesota.
During his visit, Senator Hauschild toured the facility, spoke with administrators, and spent time with veterans participating in recreational activities. The Silver Bay Veterans Home offers unique opportunities for veterans to enjoy the best of Northland living, including fishing trips on nearby lakes, outdoor gardening, and a variety of community-based programs.
“Our veterans have given so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Places like the Silver Bay Veterans Home ensure they can continue to live full and meaningful lives surrounded by the natural beauty of northern Minnesota,” said Senator Hauschild. “I’m incredibly proud of the work being done here and remain committed to supporting facilities like Silver Bay that care for those who served.”
The Silver Bay Veterans Home is one of five Minnesota Veterans Homes and is recognized for its strong ties to the local community, offering a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans from across the region.
