Arlene has flourished in many roles with Friends of Finland, including the Finland Community Youth program where she still serves as Youth Program Lead. She stepped up and served as acting Executive Director starting in January 2025, and now we are welcoming her officially as Executive Director.
Arlene has shown her deep care for the community through her years of volunteering and late nights over the past few months. Her work to maintain and rebuild programming at the Clair Nelson Community Center is self-evident. She brings a deep passion for our mission and we look forward to her leadership as we continue to find new ways to serve the community.
As Executive Director, one of her main goals is to get more people involved with their community center and programs and always to “Keep the mission in the middle.”
