Cooperative Light & Power Names Carey Hogenson as Interim CEO

Two Harbors, MN – Follow­ing the resignation of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Joel Janorschke, the Cooper­ative Light & Power (CLP) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Carey Hogenson as In­terim CEO. Carey is part of the CLP Senior Management team and currently serves as CLP’s Member Services and Human Resources Manager. She brings over 30 years of dedicated service to the co­operative and its members.

Throughout her career at CLP, Carey has held roles in member services, billing, collections, marketing, and human resources. Her ex­tensive experience across departments gives her a com­prehensive understanding of the cooperative’s operations and a strong connection to the needs of its members.

Carey is also known for her deep community involve­ment. She is the co-founder and annual organizer of the CLP Toy Drive and actively volunteers with numerous lo­cal organizations. She serves as President of the Lake County Humane Society, is a board member of the Salva­tion Army, leads the Red Ket­tle Bell Ringing campaign, and volunteers with Meals on Wheels. Additionally, she’s been a devoted team mom for several of her daughters’ sports teams.

A lifelong resident of Two Harbors, Carey and her husband, Rick, have three daughters: Marlee (18), Mak­ena (18), and Raegan (16). Her strong local roots and deep commitment to commu­nity service reflect the coop­erative values at the heart of CLP.

“As Interim CEO, I plan to focus on continuity and stability,” said Carey. “Joel has done an outstanding job in his tenure and is leaving CLP in a strong position. As interim CEO, I will continue to prioritize our mission of delivering safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to our members.”
