Grand Marais, MN – On October 10, 2024, Cook County Dispatch received numerous calls about a fire in the Cedar Grove Business Park. When deputies arrived, the fire was at the North Shore Laundry Services building on Cedar Grove Lane. At approximately 10:09 p.m., emergency responders arrived and began to work the fire. Responding units include Cook County Sheriff’s Office, North Shore Health Ambulance, Grand Marais Fire Department, Colvill Fire Department, Grand Marais First Responders, Grand Marais Public Utilities, Lutsen Fire Department, and Maple Hill Fire Department. There were no injuries, nobody was inside the building at the time, and the building is a total loss. The investigation will be turned over to the Minnesota State Fire Marshal.
