The Annual Grand Marais/ Cook County Airport Fly-in/ Drive-In pancake breakfast will be Saturday, September 27th at the Grand Marais airport. The annual event is sponsored by the Arrowhead Eagles Aviation Organization, a local 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization that seeks to support the local airport and provide aviation scholarships to local citizens. Join the Eagles for breakfast with blueberry pancakes and sausage links, and enjoy watching airplanes come and go, and see vintage airplanes on display. There will be discount airplane rides, weather permitting, and lots of fall colors to view from the air!
The event venue is the Sawtooth Aviation hangar at 123 Airport Road, Grand Marais – The Grand Marais/Cook County Airport. Saturday, September 27th, from 8:00AM to 11:00AM. Cost is $12 for adults, $8 for kids under 16.
The Arrowhead Eagles event is the primary fund raising event for the organization, which last year gave out $5,000 in aviation scholarships to area applicants. The Eagles mission is to support the Cook County, Minnesota airport and aviation tradition through promoting aviation events, airport enhancements, youth-oriented activities and opportunities, and to encourage community use and a friendly atmosphere at the airport. Thank you for your support at the breakfast and through individual donations.
