Two local teams went head-to-head on December 23 as the Silver Bay Mariners traveled to Two Harbors to face the Agates. Both pep bands filled the gym and created a lively backdrop for a competitive matchup that closed out the pre‑holiday schedule.
Two Harbors came away with a 56– 49 win, stopping Silver Bay’s early-season streak and starting one of their own. The victory marked the Agates’ third straight before they headed into a stretch of four consecutive road games. They traveled to Ely on December 29 and Barnum on December 30, and will continue on the road at Deer River on January 2 and Duluth Denfeld on January 5.
Silver Bay enjoyed a short break after the loss and will return to action on January 6 with a road game at Cromwell‑Wright.
