Penny was greeted into heaven by God and her family on Monday, August 5th, at 72 years old. Penny was born to Burton (Buddy) and Erma Jean Sveine on October 12, 1951 in New Ulm MN.
Penny was a funny, caring, strong willed woman but most importantly she was alPenny was a funny, caring, strong willed ways committed to God. She loved working at her dad’s family-run business, Buddy’s Wild Rice. She enjoyed talking and joking with everyone she came in contact with.
Penny is preceded in death by her parents, Burton “Buddy” and Erma Jean, her brothers, Steven & Dougie, the love of her life and father to her boys, Glenn Stark, and many aunts and uncles.
Penny will be greatly missed by her sons, Shane and Yancy; grandson Wyatt; brother and sister Tom (Sally) Sveine and Jenny (Roger) Walsberg; sister in law, Sue Sveine; nieces and nephew, Jessica Rustad, Julie Anderson, Michael Sveine, Ruby & Kate Walsberg; great niece and nephews Stephie, Cooper, Jonathan, Julian, Jameson and Landon; great-great niece and nephew, Dawson and Grace, and bonus niece Alicia (aka Doin’).
The family would like to thank the staff at the Franciscan Health Center for the wonderful care they provided for Penny over the time she was there.
Visitation will be August 17th at 11:00, funeral following at 12:00 at Cavallin Funeral Home, followed by a lunch and gathering at Jessica’s.
