Karen Bock, 82, Silver Bay, died Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Carefree Living.
Karen was born on May 26, 1943 in Moose Lake to Edward and Dorothy Swarmer. She moved to Silver Bay when she was in the 5th grade, graduating from the newly opened William Kelley High School in 1961. That same year she married her husband Ron and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. Karen was a homemaker raising two sons on the Lax Lake Road and enjoyed knitting, sewing and crafting.
She was one of Willie Nelson’s biggest fans, having attended over 50 concerts and received many bandannas and autographs along the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ron.
Karen is survived by sons Bruce (Darryl Davis) and Brad; granddaughters, Kelsey and Haley Clark (Ben); brother, Warren Swarmer (Robyn); along with her grand pets, Walter, Henry, Carl and Penny.
A private family burial is planned for later this spring. The family would like to Thank the staff at Carefree Living and Ecumen Hospice for the excellent care that Karen received over the past 3 1/2 years.
