James Alan Sell-man passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 59. James is survived by his parents: John and Judy, his four children: Briana, Jordan, Robyn and Jacob, four grandchildren: Jordan, Amelia, Roland and Aubrey, his siblings: Michael and Jennifer, and his partner: Audra.
Jimi was a star basketball player at Two Harbors High School, lover of hockey, croquet, and baseball. James was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where he was also an active member of the Luther League.
He was also a proud member of the U.S. Navy, serving his country with honor and distinction in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Jimi was quick-witted, funny, incredibly smart, and very kind. He had a unique ability to bring people together through friendship, always fostering connections and spreading joy. James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His service was held Monday July 22 at the Washburn-McReavy Nokomis Park Funeral Home. Private interment was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
