Jack D. Coolidge, 19, of Two Harbors, tragically passed away at home on Mon Sept 16th due to complications from his seizure disorder.
He was born May 10th, 2005 to Tammy Fransen and Brian Coolidge. Jack was the youngest of 3 siblings.
He went to Two Harbors High School, but due to his seizure disorder spent his senior year at Merritt Creek in Duluth, graduating in 2023. He had just started attending classes at LSC a few weeks ago.
He was a happy, fun loving kid with the biggest heart and sweetest smile. He loved telling jokes and stories, mostly inappropriate ones. He loved spending time with family and friends. He especially loved his nieces and nephews and always reminded them that he was their favorite uncle. He loved sports, especially basketball, football, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved playing video games with friends and watching movies with his mom.
He is survived by his mom, Tammy. They were the very best of friends. He was her favorite son. His sister Lizzy and her children Milo, Noah, Sylvia and Lincoln and his sister Emily (Tyler Birkland) and her daughters Delilah and Penelope. Jack and Emma had a very special bond.
Grandparents Charlie and Judy Johnson and Sandi Coolidge.
His special uncles and aunts Duane (Jen), Jarrod (Nancy), Kevin (Jayne), and Tim (Lindsay) Fransen and close cousins Joe, Jamie, and Ethan Fransen.
He is also survived by his ‘other mom’ Jenny Walsberg and lifelong friends Jerrad Hiukka and Aidan Saillard and his very beloved dog, Dug.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Everett Coolidge and Dewey Fransen, his stepdad Mike Harju, and friend and mentor Tony Makela. His father, Brian Coolidge, passed away just 2 days after Jack from a lengthy illness.
We will be having a Celebration of Life for Jack on Sunday Sept 29th at the Two Harbors Community Center from noon until 3pm. Please dress casually or wear your favorite football jersey and bring lots of jokes and stories about Jack and how you knew him.
