Donald DeWayne Strand (97) passed away November 18, 2024 at Care-free Living in Silver Bay. Don was born March 10, 1927 to Henry and Flossy in Hayward, Wisconsin. He married Dorothy Gallus on October 18, 1947 before settling in Silver Bay.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Diane (Ken) Frericks; son Don Jr.; sister Fern (Bob) Sabin, brother Henry (Darlene), and brother-in-law Larry Lindquist.
He is survived by his son Dave (Maria); daughter-in-law Barb, brother Stuts (Jackie), sisters Dorothy (Lindquist) and Charlotte, ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will not be held per Don’s request.
The family would like to thank Carefree Living and Ecumen Hospice for providing a wonderful last home for Don.”
