Don E. Lindahl, 88, of Two Harbors died Sunday, February 22, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born August 17, 1937 to Ellert and Mabel Elg) Lindahl in Two Harbors, where he was a lifelong resident. After high school, Don worked as a carpentry apprentice for the DM&IR Railroad, learning skills that he used the rest of his life. He worked for a short time at Reserve Mining before serving as Lake County Highway Engineer from 1966 until his retirement 1996.
Don was a longtime member of United Church.
He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, picking blueberries, and traveling. He visited all 50 states and made his way across large parts of Canada and Mexico as well.
Preceding Don in death are his parents; granddaughter, Monica Cardinal; and sister, Judy Olson.
He survived by his wife of 64 years Gloria; sons Doug (Kathy) and Brent (Amy); grandchildren Krystal (Lennon) Hanson, Alyssa (Dakota King) Lindahl, Courtney Lindahl, Jace Fink, and Marti Lindahl; a brother, Todd Lindahl; and brother-in-law, David Olson.
