LAKE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES TWO HARBORS LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER MAY 13, 2024

The Lake County Board of Adjustment sat in session at 1:00 p.m. on this date and conducted hearings and other business.

V-24-007– Motion by Hoops support­ed by Fogelberg to approve the request with conditions for relief from the shore­line setback from two designated trout streams and the property line setback to construct an addition to a non conforming house and garage (Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Article 7.03 & Section 12, Article 12.01D) filed by Gregory Hanson. The property in question is located at 6129 Hwy 1, Silver Bay MN and is legally de­scribed as: Outlot B of County Auditor’s Plat No. 15, of Government Lot 2, Section 4, Township 56, Range 7 2.4 acres, zoned shoreland (Baptism River & Lindstrom Creek), R-3/Residental District, 2.5-acre minimum, Beaver Bay Township. PID 26-5631-04010. Motion carried, Hoops, Fogelberg, and Brodigan voting in favor; none opposed.

V-24-006– Motion by Hoops supported by Fogelberg to table until June 10, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. the request for relief from the shoreline setback and the property line setback to add an addition to a noncon­forming house (Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Article 7.03 & Section 14, Article 14.01E) filed by Scott & Melissa Magnu­son. The property in question is located at 777 Kawishiwi Trail, Ely MN and is legally described as: Lot 16 & 0.07 acres of va­cated roadway desc. in Doc A000181630 in Section 32, Township 62, Range 11 0.53 acres, zoned shoreland (Farm Lake), RR/ Residential-Recreational District, 1-acre minimum, Fall Lake Township. PID 28-6270-03140. Motion carried, Hoops, Fogelberg, and Brodigan voting in favor; none opposed.

Motion by Fogelberg supported by Hoops to approve the April 8, 2024 min­utes as submitted. Motion carried, Hoops, Fogelberg, and Brodigan voting in favor; none opposed.

Motion by Fogelberg supported by Hoops to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried, Hoops, Fogelberg, and Brodigan voting in favor; none opposed. The meeting was adjourned at 2:24 p.m.
