LAKE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES TWO HARBORS LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER JUNE 10, 2024

The Lake County Board of Adjustment sat in session at 1:00 p.m. on this date and conducted hearings and other business.

V-24-008– Motion by Fogelberg sup­ported by Hippert to approve the request with conditions for relief from the shoreline structure setback to increase the height and living space of a nonconforming struc­ture and to deny the request for a screen porch addition (Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Article 7.03) filed by Ronning Retreat, agent: Sue Bott. The property in question is located at 1165 Papieo Beach Road, Isabella MN 55607 and is legally described as: Outlot 3 of Gov’t Lot 6 in Section 24, Township 59, Range 11 2.23 acres, zoned shoreland (Sand Lake), RR/ Residential-Recreational District, 1-acre minimum, Unorganized Territory 2. PID 25-5971-24050. Motion carried, Hoops, Fogelberg, and Hippert voting in favor; none opposed.

V-24-006– Motion by Fogelberg to reconvene the variance hearing from the May 13, 2024 Board of Adjustment meeting. The application for relief from the shoreline setback and the property line setback to add an addition to a noncon­forming house (Land Use Ordinance #12, Section 7, Article 7.03 & Section 14, Article 14.01E ) filed by Scott & Melissa Magnu­son was withdrawn. The property in ques­tion is located at 777 Kawishiwi Trail, Ely MN and is legally described as: Lot 16 & 0.07 acres of vacated roadway desc. in Doc A000181630 in Section 32, Township 62, Range 11 0.53 acres, zoned shoreland (Farm Lake), RR/ Residential-Recreational District, 1-acre minimum, Fall Lake Town­ship. PID 28-6270-03140. Motion carried, Hoops, Fogelberg, and Hippert voting in favor; none opposed.

Motion by Fogelberg supported by Hoops to approve the May 13, 2024 min­utes as submitted. Motion carried with Hoop and Fogelberg; Hippert abstained.

Motion by Fogelberg, supported by Hoops, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried, Hoops, Fogelberg, and Hippert voting in favor; none opposed. The meeting was adjourned at 3:18 p.m.
