The Northwoods Fiber Guild (NFG) will host their annual Holiday Sale & Open House on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Grand Marais Art Colony’s Studio 21, located at 21 West Highway 61 in Grand Marais. The sale is a well known tradition along the North Shore, featuring quality one-of-a kind fiber crafts handcrafted by the many guild members. The doors will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with tasty treats, hands-on activities, fiber demos, music, and plenty of holiday spirit.
A beautiful holiday tree filled with fiber ornaments greets shoppers each year, and the NFG artists get to demonstrate their spinning, weaving, and felting skills. Everyone is invited to learn a new fiber craft at the Hands on Table, which has become a popular activity for all ages.
There is a wide variety of fiber handcrafts at the Holiday Sale this year, including weaving, quilting, felting, basketry, and unique clothing. There will be woven rugs, wall hangings, paper crafts, handmade gifts, cards, beadwork, and felted wool sculptures for sale. Clothing accessories will include hats, scarves, mittens, socks, and handbags.
Credit cards are accepted by the Northwoods Fiber Guild, so join in the holiday shopping experience at the upcoming NFG Holiday Sale & Open House on December 7th.
