The North Shore Storm 10U girls’ hockey team took on Cloquet Gold for the second time this season on Thursday, January 18th, in Two Harbors at the Sonju Arena. In their first go around, the Storm shut out the game with an 8-0 victory. On Thursday, they shut out as well, this time with a final score of 7-0.
The game kicked off with an early goal in the first period, courtesy of Gabby Bright. She was assisted by Brooklyn Goutermont, who would find the net later in the period with the help of Emmy Ekholm and Karli Norman.
“The Storm kept the momentum going in period two,” wrote Alicia Norman, team leader of the Storm 10U girls team. Audrie Ernest scored eight minutes in, and just before the period concluded, Karlie Norman scored another goal. She was assisted by Emmy Ekholm and Addie Cook.
In the third period, the Storm left no room for doubt as Everlie Ernest, Emmy Ekholm, and Audrie Ernest collectively added three more goals. The shutout victory was sealed.
The 10U girls’ hockey team’s performance has led to an outstanding record of 14-0-2.
