CITY OF SILVER BAY RESOLUTION NO. 2023 – #32

A Resolution Summarizing the Publication of the Adoption of Chapter 12, Planning and Zoning, Section 1239 Short Term Rentals; the amendment to Chapter 12 Planning and Zoning, Section 1210.10 (FR) Forest Reserve District; and the amendment to Chap­ter 12 Planning and Zoning, Section 1210.13 (BP) Bayview Park

The City Council of the City of Silver Bay ordains that Chapter 12 Planning and Zoning, Section 1239 Short Term Rentals be published in summary form as follows:

Section 1239 – Short Term Rentals

A new ordinance to regulate the applica­tion and permitting of short-term rentals within the City of Silver Bay. The new ordinance includes the following: Subd. 1 Statement of Policy; Subd. 2 Definitions; Subd. 3 Permit Required; Subd. 4 Excep­tions; Subd. 5 Permit Application; Subd. 6 General Performance Standards; Subd. 7 Suspension or Revocation of Short-Term Rental Permit; Subd. 8 Penalties; Subd. 9 Effective Date.

The City Council of the City of Silver Bay ordains that Chapter 12 Planning and Zoning. Section 1210.10 (FR) For­est Reserve District be published in summary form as follows:

1210.10. (FR) Forest Reserve District.

An amendment to regulate the application and permitting of short-term rentals within the (FR) Forest Reserve District within the City of Silver Bay. The amended ordinance includes the following: Subd. 1 Purpose; Subd. 2 Special Requirements; Subd. 3 Permitted Uses; Subd. 4 Conditional Uses; and Subd. 5 District Requirements.

The City Council of the City of Silver Bay ordains that Chapter 12 Planning and Zoning, Section 1210.13 (BP) Bay­view Park be published in summary form as follows:

1210.13. (BP) Bayview Park

An amendment to regulate the application and permitting of short-term rentals with­in the (BP) Bayview Park within the City of Silver Bay. The amended ordinance includes the following: Subd. 1 Purpose; Subd. 2 Uses Allowed by Conditional Use Permit; and Subd. 3 District Requirements.

A full and complete copy of the adoption of Chapter 12, Planning and Zoning, Section 1239 Short Term Rentals; the amendment of Chapter 12, Planning and Zoning, Sec­tion 1210.10 (FR) Forest Reserve District; and the amendment of Chapter 12, Plan­ning and Zoning, Section 1210.13 (BP) Bayview Park shall be kept on file in the office of the City Administrator for exam­ination and use by the public during normal office hours.

The foregoing Resolution offered by Coun­cil Member Goutermont and, upon the mo­tion, supported by Council Member Bautch was declared adopted this 20th day of June 2023, by the following roll call vote:
