TOOTIE (LOIS) ENGMAN LEBLANC

September 13, 1937 – October 17, 2026

The 1956 Centennial Queen of Duluth, MN, passed away on October 17, 2026, surrounded by family.

She was born on September 13, 1937 in Saginaw, MN.

She married Patrick LeBlanc in December 1959. Both were 1955 graduates of Proctor High School and moved to Silver Bay, MN, soon after.

Together they raised 4 sons, Patrick Jr., Guy, Wade, and Mark. They founded North Shore Oil & Propane, a family-run business for over 58 years.

Tootie enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered for participating in many organizations. Her family meant more to her than anything, with 5 great-grandchildren coming into this world in the last 2 months. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and giving a helping hand to everyone, including many strangers along her life’s journey. Tootie was also an avid card player, and her Saturday breakfasts were legendary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Sr.; son, Patrick Jr.; her parents, Alice Engman, John Engman; sisterbrother-in-law, Bernice and Pete Korach; brother, Jack Engman; and great–grandson, Aidan LeBlanc.

She is survived by sons, Guy (Paula), Wade (Crystal), Mark (Wendy); grandchildren, Drew (Chelsea), Brian (Kylee), Jack (Breanna), Brock (Rachel), Troy (Sylvia), Gavin, Steph (Brent), Blake (Hannah), Carter (Ashley), 17 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law (special friend) Karon Engman.

Visitation at 10:00 am, Funeral at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church, Silver Bay, followed by Luncheon and Celebration of Life at the Reunion Hall. October 28, 2026.

Quote from Tootie: ‘Memories are for the living; may you have many.’

The family would like to say ‘thank you’ to everyone that stopped by and said ‘hello,’ as she loved company, and many special friends and family (you know who you are) for going above and beyond in this time of need.

Memorials directed to Silver Bay Blue Line Club or Silver Bay M-Club.
