(HERMANTOWN, MN) – Senator Grant Hauschild (DFL-Hermantown) has been named a Legislator of Distinction by the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities (CGMC) thanks to his work during the 2026 Session on securing passage of a bonding bill.
“As the Senator representing the largest, most rural district in the state, I know just how important a bonding bill is to supporting the critical infrastructure needs of smaller, more rural communities,” said Sen. Hauschild. “I’m grateful that we put politics aside and passed a bonding bill that put significant resources into critical infrastructure like roads and wastewater that will reduce pressure on local property taxes while ensuring these communities are healthy and strong.”

• Cook County Gunflint Trail Improvements: $1 million
