Adell (Olson) Kapsos age 96, died on April 6, 2026, at Waterview Shores Nursing home in Two Harbors, Minnesota. She was born on August 28, 1929, in Vernon, Wisconsin.
Adell was a loving, adventurous, caring, generous and creative individual. Adell loved music from an early age and she played the tuba in high school. She enjoyed traveling, casinos, bingo, concerts, country music, Broadway shows and romance novels. She was also a real foodie. She loved watercolor painting, making ceramics and she spent summers gardening. One of her passions was mentoring young people. Adell was called “Mom” by many.
Adell loved writing about her past and working as the comptroller for the City of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Later in life she was fortunate to travel with her daughter Dimitra to many places.
She is survived by her brother, Gerald Dewey (wife Pat); brother in-law, Danny Kapsos and daughter, Dimitra Kapsos (husband Robert); son, Timothy Kapsos (wife Tina); son Michael Kapsos (wife Linda); grandchildren, Cassandra, Philana (husband Paul); and three great grandchildren, Giles, Haylynn, and Haskell. She is also survived by nieces Cynthia, Lynn, Wanda, and nephews, Michael, David, Jeffery, Mark and Dick Jr.
Adell was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Kapsos; Mother, Norma Dewey; brothers, Dick Dewey and Billy Dewey; sister in-law, Harriet Vincent (husband Donald); brother in-law, William Kapsos (wife Goria).
