JUDITH “JUDY” A. HOLBECK

September 6, 1943 – November 15, 2025

Judith “Judy” A. Holbeck, 82, of Two Harbors, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Heritage Haven Assisted Living in Duluth.

Judy was born September 6, 1943, to Walt and Mary (Anderson) Johnsen in Duluth, where she grew up and graduated from Central High School. Judy later moved to Two Harbors, where she remained deeply rooted in her community throughout her life.

A devoted and active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Judy served faithfully as custodian for many years, taking great pride in caring for the church she loved. Her generosity and warmth were well known—especially through her baking. Judy delighted in preparing breads and desserts for family and friends, and she was often found contributing her homemade treats to church and community bake sales.

Judy was also a proud member of the Vasa Order of America, a Swedish American fraternal organization. She cherished her heritage and frequently welcomed fellow members into her home for local chapter gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sons, Branden Olson and Bruce Olson; her brother, Darrel and Phil’s son; Steve.

Judy is survived by her husband, Phil Holbeck; her son, Brian (Patrice) Olson; daughter-in-law, Sheri Olson; grandchildren, Morgan, Lauren, and Sydnie; her sister, Marisue Johnsen-Toelcke; brother, Ralph (Marlene) Johnsen; and Phil’s family: Joni (Brad) Ojard, Drew (Tammy) Holbeck, and their families.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall to celebrate Judy’s life. To share a memory or leave an online condolence, please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
