Delores “Dolly” Nelson, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, in Portland, Oregon. Born on July 22, 1936 to Charles and Olga Nelson of Two Harbors, Dolly lived a long and meaningful life. Her early years in Minnesota shaped her enduring spirit and strength of character. Nothing was more important to Dolly than family. Known for her incredible cooking, feeding friends and family was her passion.
Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Edward John Siedlecki whom she met while honorably serving in the United States Army. She raised three successful children: Michael Edward Siedlecki of Gresham, Oregon, Shelly Brewer Fine of Wimberly, Texas, and Sandra Lee Rowland of Huntington Beach, California. Her legacy continues through numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dolly’s final request was for cremation with her remains to be interned at the Willamette National Cemetery in Happy Valley, Oregon.
