The Hunger Hero program directly benefits local food shelves and backpack nutrition programs, helping families access essential food resources throughout the year. Organizations supported by NSFCU include:
- Cook County Food Shelf
- Ruby’s Pantry – Grand Marais and Silver Bay
- Silver Bay Food Shelf
- Two Harbors Area Food Shelf
- Second Harvest – Northern Lakes Food Bank (Duluth)
Additionally, they proudly contribute to backpack nutrition programs each September in Grand Portage, Grand Marais, and Silver Bay to ensure students have reliable access to nutritious meals.
NSFCU’s footprint continues to grow, with branches from Grand Portage to Duluth and a new office opening this summer in Pike Lake. As they expand, their commitment to addressing local needs remains steadfast.
Thank you to everyone who has joined NSFCU in the fight against hunger. Together, we are making a meaningful difference for our neighbors in need.
