The annual winter musical was held at Birch Grove Community School on Wednesday, December 11th with an afternoon and evening performance. This festive winter musical has been the long-standing tradition at Birch Grove.
The Saplings (ages 3-5) warmed up each show with a few songs featuring red glowing noses, jingle bells, snowflakes, and tails ~ very cute performances both. The K-5 students performed the main musical feature; The Share Bears, A Storybook Fantasy for Young Voices, by Teresa Jennings. These elementary students sang their hearts out and it was well-received by both the afternoon and evening audiences with abundant applause and smiles!
The evening show was followed by cookies, a line of children waiting for a candy cane from Mrs. Claus, photo opportunities with Santa Claus, the Scholastic Holiday Bookfair, and families finding their child’s 2024 ornament on the entry tree to take home and treasure.
