The artists of the North Shore Artists League accepted an invitation by the White Bear Center for the Arts to feature their work in the Ford Gallery at their location. The multi-media show themed, Fire, Earth, Air and Water, features the works of 24 artists representing the beauty and diversity of the North Shore.
Participating artists are:
Potter and clay artists Maggie Anderson, Karin Holen, Terry Lewis, and Kathleen Reeves, the fused glass of Mary Bebie and Veronica Weadlock, the written works of Author Jennifer Shoals, the fiber and textiles of Bonnie Gay Hedstrom, Robin Penner and Mary Mathews, the metal sculptures of Greg Mueller, and the paintings in various mediums of Deb Birkeland, Lois Clay, Rene Zwiefel Block, Kim Dayton, James Ellis, Patricia Hagen, Rachel Rae Klesser, Marti Mullen, Marcia Wright Roepke, Kathy Fox Weinberg, and Rebecca West.
The show runs from September 3 to October 18, 2024. The public reception is September 10, 6:30-8:30 pm and will feature a panel discussion by Maggie Anderson, Mary Bebie, Greg Mueller, Mary Mathews, and Kathy Fox Weinberg discussing the “terror” of facing the blank canvas, the lump of clay on the potter’s wheel, or pouring the hot metal – how does the artist begin? During the duration of the show the new “sound dome” will feature excerpts from author Jennifer Shoals.
